In September 2022, Ukraine was reportedly planning a drone attack against Russian targets. The drones relied on Starlink connectivity during their operations, but Elon Musk reportedly refused to extend Starlink coverage for the planned attack. Ukraine had to deal with the consequences.

We won't discuss Starlink's policies or whatever the US government thinks about it.

But think about this for a second.

A country's military operations could be affected because one private individual, sitting in California, had the power to decide whether they could access the internet.

What about their own free will? Their own independence?

They had become heavily dependent on a private company for a critical military capability. And that's the real problem.

Now, Elon Musk is trying to bring Starlink to India, claiming that it can provide internet access across more than 165 countries.

Lemme share some reality. See this image.

(Image: Countries where Starlink has been banned, restricted, or is not authorised to operate.)

Now, we need to understand something: Starlink isn't just another internet service provider. When critical communication infrastructure is controlled by a private company, it can become a strategic vulnerability.

We've already seen what that dependence can look like. And believe me, the implications go far beyond one incident.

Now, the question is: Does Elon really care about Indians?

He's supposedly very concerned about providing affordable internet to rural areas of India.

Wait, cheap internet? Really? 😂

Lemme share a chart.

See the image. And look at where India stands.

And let's talk about the actual cost.

A Starlink router kit costs around ₹30,000, followed by a monthly subscription that can cost approximately ₹9,000, depending on the plan.

That's really helpful for poor people! Isn't it? 😂

Meanwhile, Jio and Airtel offer internet plans for under ₹500 a month, with free routers available on certain plans.

And we're supposed to believe Starlink is going to revolutionise affordable internet for rural India?

If you still believe Elon Musk genuinely cares about India, lemme share something else.

See this image.

“Hate against South Asians surges among Americans by 240%, CSOH report finds.”

South Asians include Indians, among others.

And who owns X?

Elon Musk, right?

Anti-Indian posts have received millions of views on X. So, is it really a coincidence that this kind of content can spread so widely on a platform owned by someone who's supposedly so concerned about India's future?

I'm not saying ownership alone proves that Elon supports or encourages this hate. But it's fair to question the platform's responsibility and how it handles such content.

And if you still believe the Indian government is deliberately blocking Starlink just to target Elon Musk, lemme share one more thing.

See this image.

Airtel, an Indian company, has also faced regulatory hurdles with its satellite internet ambitions.

So, the rules and regulatory requirements aren't necessarily just about Elon Musk. India's satellite communication sector has to deal with licensing, security, and other regulatory requirements.

The principle should be the same for everyone.

And who can forget Rahul Gandhi?

He's da real joker, fr.
