Most people think technology was built to change the world. To connect us, to make us smarter, to elevate humanity.

But if you look closely at the biggest billion-dollar tech empires, you'll realize they aren't built on changing the world. They are built by hacking human psychology. In the tech and venture capital world, there's a brutal reality: The most scalable products feed on the 7 Deadly Sins.

We don't use apps because they are useful; we use them because they trigger our most primal, unfiltered desires..Here's breakdown

  • Pride (Dikhawa): Instagram & LinkedIn. We are obsessed with showing the world our perfect aesthetics, our promotions, and our "hustle."

  • Sloth (Aalas): Amazon, Uber & Swiggy. We want everything in our hands without moving an inch from our couch. Frictionless laziness.

  • Envy (Jalan / FOMO): Pinterest & Social Media. Looking at other people's perfect lives, vacations, and outfits, keeping us in a constant loop of wanting more.

  • Greed (Lalach): Crypto apps, Robinhood & Trading platforms. The universal desire to get rich quickly without doing the actual hard work.

  • Lust (Attraction): Tinder & Bumble. The most basic human instinct monetized into an endless swipe-game.

  • Gluttony (Over-consumption): TikTok, YouTube Shorts & Reels. Not gluttony of food, but gluttony of content. Our brains starving for that next 15-second dopamine hit. Doomscrolling.

  • Wrath (Outrage): X (Twitter) & Reddit. Algorithms know that anger drives the highest engagement. Controversies and arguments keep the platforms alive.

Yes, it sounds dark. But understanding this "Pragmatic Capitalism" is the first step to building something massive. You have to understand the matrix before you can break it (or build your own).
That is exactly why the world's richest men went to that island (iykyk). The more perfect something looks on the outside, the darker it is on the inside. Accept it or leave it.
